Dr. Gary Lam

After spending four rewarding years in private practice in Southern California, I'm excited to return to the Bay Area and practice at San Francisco Foot & Ankle Group. Fluent in Cantonese and English, I am eager to contribute my skills to enhance foot and ankle care in the Bay Area. As a skilled Podiatric Surgeon and Certified Wound Specialist, I have a keen interest in diabetic wound care and limb preservation. I'm also passionate about addressing biomechanically related foot issues. Originally from Hong Kong, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 2005. Following that, I completed a comprehensive three-year surgical residency program at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, with affiliations at Stanford University Medical Center and Kaiser San Jose Hospital. In addition to my role as a podiatrist in the United States, I am a Consultant for Bestol Footcare, a company based in China. During my free time, I enjoy watching movies and traveling with my family.
